Tomlinson Hall was commissioned by a leading design house working within the mining industry to deliver two complete water boosting packages for a major development in Teesside.
The client required a highly bespoke design – both systems had to meet exact technical specifications, including side-wall positioned inlet and outlet connections, and installation within a 30-minute fire retardant enclosure. The project also demanded strict adherence to industry legislation and a fully documented approval process at every stage, including detailed drawings and specification sign-offs.
Frequent design amendments during development added further complexity, requiring a high degree of flexibility, technical accuracy, and collaboration.

Working in close partnership with one of our key manufacturing suppliers, we engineered and delivered two bespoke packaged booster systems tailored to the customer’s specific operational and environmental requirements.

System 1: A four-pump MARB SP4V unit for processed water

System 2: A two-pump MARB SP2V unit for non-saline water transfer
Both units featured full 316-grade stainless steel pipework, bases, manifolds, and fittings, ensuring long-term durability in harsh industrial environments. The enclosures were manufactured to meet the 30-minute fire retardancy standard and colour-matched to the client’s specifications.
The advanced MARB control philosophy provided flexible operating modes, allowing the booster sets to run via pressure control or level control depending on the system configuration.
